Population Dynamics

First of all it was telling about how populations are classified in the world and how they can go up and down. There is three types of countries: pre-industrial, industrial, and post-industrial. Pre-industrial is when the country doesn't have industry, like many countries in Africa. Many of these countries can have money but corruption keeps it away from the people. Pre-industrial countries have growing populations because their population is younger and there is not many old people. Industrial countries have developed industry and their populations are staying the same. These are countries like the United States. Post-industrial are countries that used to have strong industry, but now don't rely on industry anymore. This is like Japan and these populations are declining.

There are two things that cause migration: push forces and pull forces. Push forces can be caused by civil war, religious or ethnic conflict, or unemployment. These things are bad situations and make people want to leave to save their life. Pull forces are when another place has something that can give you a better future like education, freedom, sports, better economy opportunity, or better health service. These things are good and make you want to go to the new country.

Pull forces are why I came from Congo to the United States because I need to get a better education and the opportunities I have here to play basketball and go to college maybe one day will allow me to help my family.
